The film Venom starring Tom Hardy was released in the United States. It was directed by Ruben Fleischer and produced by Columbia Pictures. Venom is inspired by a Marvel comic book called Venom: Lethal Protector (1993). The character Venom has appeared in the miniseries from the story of Planet of the Symbiotes (1995).
However, the movie was a big box office hit for the year 2018 (October 2018). But in all the movies from the Spider-Man Franchise, it is ranked last in order because the movie has no relation with the genre of the superhero. Also, Spider-Man does not exist anywhere. Apart from all, Venom was ranked The Seventh Highest Grossing Film of the year (2018). Moreover, it is optional for Spider-Man Fandom out there to watch it or not.
For some who find it interesting, there is big news. Venom: Let There Be Carnage is releasing soon in October 2021.
Synopsis: Sony’s Spider-Man Universe has released its first motion picture Venom. The movie is distributed by Sony Pictures. Tom Hardy (who has played the role of Eddie Brock) made an excellent performance throughout the movie. The storyline of the movie is centered-focus on the evil and ugly character Venom.
Eddie Brock was a journalist who was investigating the Corporation Life Foundation that was unethically involved in a trial to an unfamiliar creature – alien symbiotes, whose traces were found back somewhere in space. Later, Eddie Brock became one of the hosts of the alien symbiote and transformed into large Venom and helps the fellow species to invade the earth.

09. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014)
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is the fifth movie in the Amazing Spider-Man Series. In our list, we have ranked it the eighth-best of the Amazing Spider-Man Series. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was directed by Marc Webb and released in the year 2014 in the United States of America. The co-producers of the movie are Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach.
Like other spider-man movies, the Amazing Spider-Man 2 is also a marvel comic book-based movie. However, this time Andrew Garfield has played the role of Peter Parker (Spider-Man). The movie is a blockbuster bomb of the year. The story has two main characters.
All spider-Man movies are mainly intriguing for the villain characters and so, Jamie Foxx has given an incredible performance as Max Dillon or Electro. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 ranked for The Ninth Highest Grossing Film of 2014.
Synopsis: In the movie, Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy have shared a romantic bond while Gwen Stacy was investigating the murder of Peter’s parents. However, the movie has terrific combat scenes between the great supervillain Electro and the Spider-Man. Amidst this, Peter has found his childhood friend who was ill due to some genetic alterations and was searching for Spider-Man’s DNA for his cure.
The Plot: The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has a plot that contains many big holes. After Spider-Man 2, both the movies of the Amazing Spider-Man series are a big black spot in the name of the Spider-Man Franchise. The movie, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 offers fresh blood to the Franchise and though a deadly boring runtime to the Spider-Man fans. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is a multiple villain’s story. The movie has three different villains with indifferent superhuman abilities.
Among all, Electro was the fuzziest and polarized character. All in all, spider-man was seen in combat with Electro (Jamie Foxx) the Rhino (Paul Giamatti), and the Green Goblin (Dane DeHaan).
However, the plot was completely inconsistent and shattered but still, the bottom line is centered-focus around the chemistry of Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) and Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone). In the first half of the movie, the couple break-up due to Parker’s vow to his father who died in an airplane crash but, in the latter half, Peter and Stacy re-join to rescue New York City from the supervillains.
In the middle of the story, Parker also met his childhood friend Harry Osborne suffering from a genetic illness believes that he can only be cured by the Spider-Man’s blood (however, the spider man refused to transform his blood).
Spoiler Alert: The gut-wrenching death of Wren Stacy by the Green Goblin.

08. Spider-Man 3 (2007)
Spider-Man 3 is directed by Sam Raimi. The movie is based on the genre of live-action of a marvel American (comic book) hero Spider-Man. After the phenomenal blockbuster record of the predecessor Spider-Man 2, the franchise has come up with a sequel named Spider-Man 3. This movie is the last and the final installment in Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy. Spider-Man 2 (2007) is proved to be a banana skin for the fact that it is a conglomerate of different villains.
In the year 2007, the film was first released in the United States of America. Spider-Man 3 has been ranked for The Third Highest Grossing Film of 2007 from the Spider-Man Films Trilogy.
Synopsis: In the movie Spider-Man 3, Peter Parker has a face-off with three new villains. Flint Marko, who killed Uncle Ben transformed into a Sandman after a weird accident. On the other hand, Peter’s old friend (from The Amazing Spider-Man 2) Harry Osborn has come to know the real identity of Peter and seeks his revenge from spider-man for killing his father. However, Spider-Man also encountered the third villain in the form of gigantic Venom.
Amidst, Spider-Man became a host of an extraterrestrial symbiote. Thus, Spider-Man mindful of the fact that after that symbiote has taken control over him, gained some extraordinary inhuman powers but, was also challenged by the negative outcome.
The Plot: The film Spider-Man 3 seems ridiculously over-plotted by 3 different villains. In the movie, Spider-Man was doing well in his duties to New York City accompanied by his missions as a super-hero. He has got his career and is now on his way to propose to Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst). The movie is packed with many uncomical notions, over-conversations, and over-revenge actions.
However; the silliness also offers a cheesy laugh. Peter dancing in the streets to make Mary Jane jealous can make even a dead person laugh. The final installment of Raimi’s Spider-Man Trilogy has three super-evil villains. However, I must mention that if the villains could be reduced to two; the plot will become more clear and consistent with the original Spider-Man story.
Flint Marco (aka Sandman) is an escaped convict who accidentally fell into an experiment where the particle accelerator diffuses into his body and changed him in the form of sand.
Harry Osborn (aka Goblin) after knowing that Peter is the real Spider-Man follows him to make Spider-Man pay off for every drop of his dead father’s blood.
All in all, Spider-Man has made a real struggle to face off the extraterrestrial symbiote and his struggle to hide his darker side from the world. Amidst this, the monstrous Venom also stands out to challenge Spider-Man.
Spoiler Alert: The end is tear-jerking as Harry will die while saving his friend (Peter) life.

Now that he got supernatural powers, Spider-Man is now up to his Mission to protect New York City from the maneuvers of the ignoble reptilian enemy.
The Plot: The Amazing Spider-Man turned out to be a classic reboot by Sony’s rebooted Franchise. Andrew Garfield has made a spectacular performance in the movie. The movie has different plots that particularly (in this movie) seem similar to the real marvel comic book miniseries. Peter and Gwen Stacy’s chemistry gives a sky-high kick-off to the Spider-Man Franchise as both seem attractive sharing some romantic moments.
However, the story begins with Peter breaking into Oscorp’s science laboratory where he was bitten by a genetically modified spider. Peter thus, transformed into a spider-man and possessed all the abilities of a spider including great strength, sharp senses, reflexes, agility, and speed. However, Dr. Curt Connors (scientist at Oscorp laboratories) becomes a giant Lizard. Later, in the end, Peter accompanied by Gwen Stacy saved New York City from the evil of Dr. Curt Connors (the Lizard) who fails in his attempt to make all humans turn into the same fizzy creature.
