Grand Theft Auto: The Remastered Trilogy Will Be Released By The End Of This Year!

Grant Theft Auto is the biggest video game series ever! Each new installment of the series broke all kinds of records! Currently, the latest installment GTA 5, which first appeared in 2013 on PS3 and Xbox360 became the best-selling entertainment product of all time, grossing over $6 billion!

Now, eight years later, fans are eagerly waiting for the GTA6, the most expected unannounced game in history, but Rockstar Games, developer of the game is still silent regarding the next installment in the main series.

But, that doesn’t mean we won’t get something new, or actually, old. Today, Rockstar announced that the GTA Trilogy (GTA3, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas) was optimized and enhanced for the current generation of consoles. Officially called Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, that remaster of those three legendary games will be available to new (and old) gamers by the end of this year.

Rockstar announced that remastered versions of those three games will have improved graphics and some new gameplay elements, but at the same time it will remain truthful to its original versions which were released in 2001, 2002, and 2004, respectively, on PS2, Xbox and PC.

GTA3, GTA Vice City, and GTA San Andreas were all the best-selling video games at the time they were released. They all received critical acclaim, but also a lot of controversies (which is actually nothing new for the GTA series).

Rockstar is hoping that this will keep fans calm and buy them a bit more time to work on GTA6 that fans are still expecting, although Rockstar (officially) never said it’s gonna happen at all. After all, those three games (particularly San Andreas) remained very popular among both old and new gamers all over the world and we don’t doubt fans will be very pleased to play them again after almost two decades.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will be released for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch by the end of this year!
