According to Kadokawa’s Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine, the next issue of the magazine will feature a new manga adaptation of one of Reki Kawahara’s Sword Art Online light novels.

In the magazine, it is noted that the story will be “rearranged” from the novels’ Aincrad story arc, and it will feature scenes not shown in the anime, such as Kopel’s meeting.

The magazine notes that the manga is based on the original Sword Art Online novels despite the premise is similar to the Sword Art Online: Progressive novels. The manga is drawn by Kimi.
