Tomoko Yamashita’s supernatural mystery manga Sankakumado no Sotogawa wa Yoru / The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window was adapted to a TV anime show, and it premiered in Japan on October 3, 2021.

Its first episode, “Encounter” is currently available on Crunchyroll, for all the members from North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Oceania, Africa, the Middle East, and CIS.

Here’s the official synopsis for The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window:

Shy bookstore clerk Kosuke Mikado has the ability to see ghosts and spirits, an ability he wishes he didn’t have, since what he sees usually terrifies him. Rihito Hiyakawa, an exorcist whose supernatural powers are as strong as his social graces are weak, doesn’t seem to fear anything, mortal or otherwise. When this odd couple gets together to solve the bizarre cases that come their way, their work methods may not be entirely safe for work!

An anime television series adaptation of The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window was announced in the January 2021 issue of Magazine Be × Boy, published on December 7, 2020. The anime is produced by Zero-G and is directed by Yoshitaka Yasuda, who will also be in charge of character design. Daiji Iwanaga is the chief director for the series, with Ayumi Sekine in charge of the series’ scripts, and Evan Call composing the series’ music.

It premiered on October 3, 2021 on Tokyo MX, SUN, and BS Fuji. Frederic performed the opening theme “Saika”, while Wataru Hatano performed the ending theme “Breakers”. Crunchyroll licensed the series.

The CD single of the song is scheduled to be released in Japan on November 24, 2021.
